General Description Spirulina Pacifica™ is a dried and non-viable product of the common blue-green algae, Arthrospira platensis (formerly referred to as Spirulina platensis). This species is classified as follows:

Regulatroy Status Spirulina Pacifica™ is Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) by the US FDA for all food, beverage, and supplement applications. It has been FDA-reviewed and allowed as dietary supplement (August 1999). This product is cultivated in a BioSecure Zone and is free of genetically modified organisms and ingredients (non-GMO). Cyanotech Corporation is ISO and NPA-GMP Certified. Spirulina Pacifica™ powder is a non-irradiated Kosher certified natural blue-green algae product containing no additives or pesticides.
Physical Properties Spirulina Pacifica™ is a free-flowing green to bluish-green powder. It has a mild seaweed odor and is not soluble; it forms a suspension. The Particle size is <125 microns and Bulk Density is >0.48 (g/ml).

Spirulina Pacifica™ All Natural Hawaiian Spirulina tablets are made from the dried biomass of the blue green algae, Arthrospira platensis (formerly referred to as Spirulina platensis). This species is classified as

Manufacturing Tablets are cold-pressed and manufactured in accordance with NPA-Good Manufacturing Practices, and in accordance with local and State of Hawaii
regulations. Silica (1%), chicory inulin (0.4%), and magnesium stearate (0.1%) are used as tableting aids. Cyanotech holds a current Food Establishment Permit issued by the State of Hawaii and operates under an ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System.
Regullatory Status Spirulina Pacifica™ is certified to be free of pesticides. The material is certified Kosher according to the guidelines of Organized Kashrus Laboratories. Spirulina Pacifica™ is a natural non-GMO blue-green algae product.
